Tasks for Chicken Sitting Service- Starting $20
Feeding and Watering: Provide fresh food and clean water daily. Monitor food and water levels, replenishing as necessary. Ensure water containers are clean and free of debris.
Coop Maintenance: Clean the coop and remove any soiled bedding. Replace bedding. Check for and repair any damage to the coop (e.g., holes, loose wire).
Egg Collection: Collect eggs daily and store them in a safe, cool place. Monitor egg production and notify the owner of any significant changes.
Health and Wellness Checks: Observe chickens for signs of illness or injury (e.g., lethargy, abnormal behavior). Administer basic first aid or treatments as instructed. Check for parasites like mites or lice and treat as needed.
Security and Protection: Ensure the coop is securely locked at night to protect chickens from predators. Monitor the perimeter of the chicken run or free-range area for any breaches. Ensure electric fencing or other protective measures are functioning properly.
Free-Range Supervision: If chickens are allowed to free-range, supervise them to ensure their safety. Herd them back to the coop or designated area as needed.
Waste Management: Clean up waste around the coop and run areas to maintain hygiene. Manage composting of chicken manure if applicable.
Temperature and Ventilation Control: Monitor coop temperature, especially in extreme weather conditions. Adjust ventilation to ensure the coop remains well-ventilated but draft-free.
Communication: Provide regular updates to the chicken owner, including any concerns or changes in behavior. Notify the owner immediately in case of emergencies, such as predator attacks or illness. These tasks ensure that the chickens remain healthy, productive, and secure during the owner's absence.

Emergency Preparedness: - Being on alert for weather changes or other potential emergencies. - Knowing how to operate essential systems in case of a power outage or other disruptions.
Communication: - Regular updates to the homestead owner. - Notifying the owner of any issues or emergencies.
