Benefits to using Hemp bedding

**Dust Free 99%**

Low dust is critical to limiting life-threatening respiratory problems of chickens ,rabbits, horses and other animals. The production process of hemp bedding often involves dust extraction methods to minimize airborne particles. This can be beneficial for animals with respiratory sensitivities or allergies, as reduced dust levels can help maintain better air quality in their living environment.

**Absorbency 400%**: Hemp is highly absorbent, which helps in maintaining a dry and clean living environment for farm animals. This can reduce the risk of health issues such as respiratory problems, foot rot, skin irritations and much more.

**Comfort**: Hemp bedding provides a soft and cushioned surface for animals to rest on, promoting their overall well-being and comfort.

**Durability **: Hemp bedding is long-lasting and can withstand heavy use, making it a cost-effective option for farmers. Only need 1/4 to 1/3 of the bedding you would typically use when comparing to pine shaving, pellets, straw or sand.

**Natural Odor Control**: Folks always ask why flies aren't attracted to our coops. Hemp has natural odor-reducing properties, helping to reduce the smell of urine and feces. This helps keeping the animal housing area smelling fresh and clean.

**Environmental Benefit**: Hemp is a sustainable and eco-friendly material, making it a great choice for farmers looking to reduce their environmental impact.

**Keeping it Canadian**: Our hemp is 100% Canadian grown and processed. By using our hemp, you can be sure that you're supporting Canadian Farmers across this great country.

Overall, hemp bedding can contribute to the health, comfort, and overall well-being of farm animals, making it a popular choice among farmers seeking high-quality bedding materials.

Instructions:

Horses - Start with a cleaned out stall and add hemp bedding to about 4-5 inches deep. If you're dealing with a “mix master” pooper, we suggest using a bit less bedding. If you have a stall rested horse, we suggest adding an extra bale. Fork or poop scoop out feces from the stall daily and leave the rest of the bedding in. After 7 days, rake loose and dry bedding to one side of your stall and shovel out the brownish patches. This is hemp that has absorbed all the urine. After urine has been removed, rake back the dry bedding and add a fresh bale or top up as needed.

Note* if you find the bedding is having difficulty absorbing after 24h-48h, spray about 1.5L of water per 15kg of bedding. This will help unlock the absorbency properties.

Chickens - Start with a clean coop and add bedding to be appropriately 1.5 to 2 inches deep. Top up every 2-3 weeks or as needed. Clean out every 4-6 months.
